During 2009 – 2010, Liz documented Warwick Town Centre for the Warwickshire Records Office. Having always had an interest in social history Liz photographed the exteriors, interiors of the buildings of Warwick and photographed and interviewed the people who lived and worked in Warwick. Completing the study was a mammoth task, but one that Liz absolutely loved, and the study is featured in the March 2013 edition of ‘Practical Photographer’ magazine. Work from the ‘Warwick Study’ was exhibited at the world famous Compton Verney Art Gallery and the Pedlars Gallery, Warwick during Warwickshire Artsweek in 2010.
In 2011, Liz was commissioned as the project photographer for ‘A Year in the Life of the Pump Room Gardens’ and a Heritage Lottery Funded public exhibition from this study was held at the Market Hall Museum, Warwick during April and May 2012. Liz was also commissioned as project photographer for ‘The Tachbrook Times’, social history project documenting a Warwickshire Village in 2011.
As a result of Liz’s work on the ‘Warwick Study’, Liz was selected for a place on world famous photographer Martin Parr’s Magnum Print Room workshop in London and hasn’t looked back!
