Testimonials
"Dear Liz,
We've only just finished looking at our photographs - we absolutely LOVE them! There are so many wonderful photos we are struggling to work out which ones are our favourites. We can't wait to show them off to our family and friends!
Thank you so much to you and Rob for capturing so much of our special day. It was great to go through them and bring back so many happy memories. We'd thought there was so much of the day forgotten in the blur of excitement, but the photos brought everything back to us. It was fantastic to see all the photos of our family, having fun, and looking so happy. The ones of use are pretty good too :0) who'd have thought we could look so good!
I want to thank you also, for all your help on the day itself. From calming nerves, adjusting dresses and even a spot of impromptu sewing, your fantastic attitude, willingness to help and friendly professionalism was very much appreciated.
Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our big day!"

"We are just writing to thank you for the wonderful photographs you took at our wedding.
As someone who shies away from even appearing in a "holiday snap", I wasn't very confident in "starring" in a wedding album. However, I needn't have worried, you were so relaxed and unobtrusive, that for much of the time, we were unaware we were being photographed. The result was a set of photographs that were so natural, and really told the story of our special day.
I managed not to cry at the actual wedding service, but couldn't hold back when I saw your photographs - they were so beautiful!"

"Liz Drake is not only professional but a real joy to have at your wedding her lovely personality and smile allows her to easily mingle with guests while getting amazing reportage shots Liz went the extra mile meeting us both after work to make sure we were happy with the shots. It is the second event I have seen
Liz at and it only proved to me what an excellent photographer she is and how much it means to her to do a brilliant job. Thanks Liz for getting us the shots we will always treasure".

"Dear Liz, I've just had a chance to look at your photographs from St.George's Day, Warwick. They're brilliant and capture the impact and atmosphere of the event perfectly".
Matt Caddick, Warwick Town Centre Manager
"Dear Liz, we both wanted to say that we were absolutely delighted with the photographs you took for our wedding. To be given a brief which included "lots of the building, lots of the dog, lots of the details, no formal group shots, nothing posed, everything relaxed and informal" can't have been easy, but that's just what you delivered.
You were fantastic and we've got a wonderful set of shots to help us remember the day. Your attention to detail sussing out the venue beforehand was great and helped to get some wonderful architectural shots as well which we love. The informal shots of people chatting, laughing, clapping, singing (and wiping away a tear!) are so natural and really captured the moments brilliantly. The night time shots of the marquee, the tables and the Chinese lanterns are all beautiful – so very atmospheric. Looking through the photos with family and friends has been great – it's like reliving the day all over again!
We especially appreciated the surreptitious way you got all the shots, as two people who generally are camera adverse we approached the decision to have a 'wedding photographer' with some trepidation, but we genuinely weren't aware of you being around or snapping away. This in turn was wonderfully liberating as we didn't feel under any pressure and were able to really relax. The day just unfolded and you were there to capture it.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking to photograph a wedding or indeed any special occasion in all its glory – you are a star! Thank you once again"

"Liz Drake's "Photographic Portrait of Warwick" was a vibrant, colourful portrayal of the people who live and work in Warwick and attracted a lot of Record Office visitors and people of Warwick to it while it was exhibited at the Record Office in July 2010. It also leaves a legacy of historical value in that it provides a unique documentary of 'Warwick at work' in 2009 - 2010; a snapshot into the types of businesses and people that 'make Warwick tick'. I can imagine that in years to come this exhibition will still be of interest to the people of Warwick for its value as a piece of local history. (Interestingly, a few of the businesses shown in the photographs had actually ceased to trade by the time the exhibition was displayed only a few months later). It provides a welcome element of 'human interest' and could be viewed alongside other documents of this period such as trade directories, business records and census returns to show the trading history of Warwick.
As the Learning and Outreach Officer at the County Record Office, I can certainly see myself using photos from the Liz Drake Collection to make comparisons with photographs depicting, for example, Victorian trade in Warwick, and using it in sessions on local history with Schools, Community Groups, etc."

"Dear Liz, we wanted to write and let you know how absolutely thrilled we have been with the photographs of our wedding day. You were very relaxed and discrete which we really appreciated, and yet you managed to capture the atmosphere of the day perfectly. We have a fantastic record of our day that we will always treasure, and we can't thank you enough!"

"Aga Rangemaster used Liz Drake Photography for our Long Service Award Ceremony, which was held in December 2009. I found Liz to be a professional, reliable and punctual photographer who delivered high quality and imaginative photographs. Both the Company and the staff were extremely pleased with the photographs.
Liz has an efficient and pleasant manner and I would have no hesitation in using her again".

"We would like to say a great big thank you for helping to make our daughters wedding day so special and the photographs you have took really tell a wonderful story. We really felt that you were close friend of the family; you made us feel so comfortable yet were unobtrusive in your photography. Thanks again for making the day so special."

"Many thanks for the lovely photographs you took of my Daughters, I am delighted with them and they were very well received by the Grandparents at Christmas! You have a real talent for capturing people's expressions while also considering composition, colour AND the feelings of the subjects. My eldest Daughter had not been photographed professionally since she was a child but you settled her nerves and she really enjoyed the experience. I will certainly be calling on your services again!"

"Liz has been volunteering as a photographer with Action 21 since November 2009. She's brought a new level of visual creativity to Action 21 that we'd been in need of for quite a while. Now we have exciting, professional and extremely good quality images to use on our web site and in other publicity. It's a real joy for us to have Liz volunteering with us. With Liz's help we've been able to photographically document many different aspects of Action 21's activities, from the Christmas party to everyday business at our re-use shop, producing beautiful photographs of people and objects. Liz has helped us to show that re-use and artistic creativity aren't worlds apart!"

"Liz Drake provided a superb set of photographs from one of our gigs involving 25 samba dancers and drummers. Her pictures captured the lively fast moving atmosphere and spontaneous interchanges between performers and the audience. Despite the public venue she was discrete and unobtrusive. She took some lovely impromptu photos of the dancers and drummers preparing for the their performance as well as the performance itself. We really enjoyed this gig and it shows in Liz's high quality images. We have been pleased to use Liz's images from the band's training sessions and gigs to promote our community band on our website".

"If I could replace my SEF with the images of children, engaged, enthusiastic and loving learning, I would certainly use "a Day in the Life!" To capture such a detailed moment in time is priceless and Liz's ability to show the heart beat of the school as it really is is a magnificent gift!".
