About the Founder, Liz Drake

Liz Drake established her thriving photography business after training as a photographic assistant and following being awarded Distinctions for her Level One and Level Two, City and Guilds in Photography.

Her 'on the job' training as a photographic assistant provided excellent grounding in the skills and abilities needed to be a great photographer and in running a very successful photography business.

Liz excels in wedding, event and portrait photography and considers herself to have the key skills in which are needed to be a great photographer;

"I put people at ease with my friendly and approachable manner" Liz comments. "Many people very much dislike having their photograph taken, even on their wedding day, but my swift manner and habit of being in the right place at the right time make my job of photographing a wedding or event, so much easier".

Liz also offers product and studio portraits from her photography studio in North Hall, Spencer Yard, Leamington Spa.

"Running my own photography business is a dream come true" comments Liz, "I work closely with my clients to achieve exactly the shots they want, whether this be a wedding, event, commercial, product photography or a photography portrait session at my studio". "Being a great photographer is not just about having a fabulously creative eye for a great shot; it's about making a connection with a person who you are to photograph; it's about staying in the background, letting events flow and being there camera in hand to capture events as they happen. Most importantly it is knowing what will make a great shot and making sure you are there to press the shutter button".
